One Piece, Vol. 3: Dont Get Fooled Again (One Piece Graphic Novel) By Eiichiro Oda

Eiichiro Oda · 3 characters

Love this series great packaging English Plot:

I like the Buggy the Clown and Gaimon storylines better than the Ussop one, but I also felt that way about the TV series.

Setting:

My favorite setting is the forest/island Gaimon lives with the interesting combo animals.

Characters:

Luffy is still amusing.

Zolo didn't do too much in this one besides sleep and seem confused about what was happening.

I like how open Nami is to being on Luffy's crew. The scene where Luffy and Zolo can't seem to read the map is funny.

Chouchou rocks!

I'm not a huge fan of Ussop. He has his moments, but mostly I just found him annoying.

Relationships:

I think I'm going to enjoy Luffy/Nami as much as I did on the show their banter is hilarious.

While I'm not a big fan of Ussop, I do think his friendship with Kaya is sweet.

Writing/Voice:

Not quite as good as the previous two, but still had parts that cracked me up. I felt like the art wasn't as well executed as it was in the others?

Ending:

Wrapped up well.

Overall, loved it almost as much as the previous two. More of a 4.5 I just don't care about Ussop or that story arc, minus Merry I suppose. English Son loves it. He wants to work in anime himself one day and though there are many , many anime books out there this is definitely his favorite. They are priced good and seem appropriate to me for a 12 yr. old. I will continue to get the rest of the series. English This volume includes two story lines with a single chapter tale between them. It's that single chapter that takes some energy from the volume. But by the end, Oda recovers: Luffy does something unexpected, breaking with convention and pushing the second story line in a better, action oriented direction.

All to say: read on. English I am a fan of this series for 20 years so its funny to read the gaimon chapter and actually realize for how long I am following this story. More than 20 years soon 30!! I also believe that the gaimon chapter hints to the one piece and I also believe that the straw hat is the key to one piece!! The fascinating thing about one piece is that as time is progressing early chapters make and sense now and fundamental story elements were implemented early on!!! Phenomenal!! We're all gaimon waiting to see what the treasure is lol English

My 11 year old loves these books!
It is age appropiate and fun! The only problem I found is that if I want to order different vol I have to pay separate postage ( same seller + author), so I found a website that doesn’t charge separate postage for every book. English It came in very good condition although a few pages had minor rips that can barley be seen. English I bought this as a Christmas Present for a family member who loves all things Japanese, Manga, Comic book etc. The book was a lot thicker than I thought it would be and I think it is definitely good value for money. The book is written in English but reads right to left. The back of the book is actually where the story begins. I didn't realise this before I bought it, but my brother loved it because he said it made it feel authentic. English very good series. I am a little confused about what century it takes place in though. Not sure if it's old pirates or modern times. English Book cover is damaged, pages are bent and filthy. Disappointed. English

Sure, lots of people say they want to be the King of the Pirates, but how many have the guts to do what it takes? When Monkey D. Luffy first set out to sea in a leaky rowboat, he had no idea what might lie over the horizon. Now hes got a crew sort of in the form of swordsman Roronoa Zolo and treasure hunting thief Nami. If he wants to prove himself on the high seas, Luffy will have to defeat the weird pirate lord Buggy the Clown. Hell have to find a map to the Grand Line, the sea route where the toughest pirates sail. And hell have to face the Dread Captain Usopp, who claims to be a notorious pirate captainbut frankly, Usopp says a lot of things One Piece, Vol. 3: Dont Get Fooled Again (One Piece Graphic Novel)
