Kiss And Tell By Nistula Hebbar

characters Kiss And Tell

A romantic novel from the perspective of a journalist. Good pick for those who are fed up with the long list of dragging College romance novels available. But the amount of politics/government/corruption added to it may make it weird for those who are not interested in the field. Also, story goes more like a Bollywood movie, so the preconceived turn of events in favor of the protagonist may look dramatic. Overall, i liked the way it is put and the change of perspective, keeping aside the politics part. English A very entertaining read. Basically populated with people like us (though some, not so much!) in a familiar Delhi. Nice insights into the life of a political journalist and how the wheels move within wheels in the Capital.

Recommended to anybody looking for a quick, fun read. English Started reading in the morning and finished it by evening. its an easy read. Got to know about it from internet. Seems to be quite entertaining with fast paced life of Delhi hidden from eyes showing wheels within wheels.
it's a youthful story with a female reporter as main protagonist. story of corridors of powers and what not....
Nice plot with conspiracies, deal making, use and abuse of persons/positions coupled with passion for life of main characters.
One loose end was left out in plot as to what happened to the publication's quid pro quo in deal making. They should have been brought to the books too. Its only politicians who bite the dust.
Some identifiable characters... surprised to see the understanding of depth of bureaucracy by the author.. normally secretariat functioning is seldom known to anyone outside it..
Overall an entertaining book which peeps into the lives of people behind the big news items, newsmakers and their interrelations. A freshness of modern day romance. English average
very boring in start and mid but ending is nice English Be it any, the fictious Indian Mail, Daily Hindustan, Samaj Nirman or the non fictious TH, TOI, The New Indian Express or Hindustan Times, that's how it works. Nistula's Kiss & Tell is not a chick-lit but a journo-lit of a specific beat narrated through a feminine voice. It's a good read English

A kiss can reveal a lot . . . Janaki is like any journalist working the political circuit-she wants a big story. She's also like any girl in her late twenties—she wants a love life and maybe even a 'happy ever after'. When work leads her to Vishnu Singh—an older, powerful, but very attractive bureaucrat—she might just have found everything she wants in one sexy package. Kiss And Tell
