I read this book first and was hooked immediately. All the way through the reader is constantly jumping from one conclusion to the other only to have them all proved wrong by a complete twist at the end.I did wonder if some of the terminology used might have been a little off putting for people who have no medical knowledge at all, but as a trained nurse I managed with some difficulty. However its important to remember that even if you don't completely understand the technical language you will certainly be able to follow the main themes and twists and turns of the mystery.I became very connected with the two main characters who work in the Medical Examiner's Office and found myself checking out all Cook's other books to find those which continued with the same characters.You really won't be able to put this book down!
