Most yoga books just show the poses. This book gives you actual sequences that give you a great workout and keeps you focused. I've actually bought it for several people who were unsure about yoga they also think this book is great! 15 Minute Gentle Yoga: Get Real Results Anytime, Anywhere I've had this DVD for over 10 years. This purchase was a gift for a friend, as I knew it was a good starting point for trying yoga at home, as the DVD and the book together are brilliant. I do my own version of yoga/stretching at home, to keep flexible. I have a few yoga DVDs now, but this was my first step into doing yoga at home, and I always go back to this from time to time, the strengthening section is excellent and I've seen the benefits. Its a brilliant starting point for anyone thinking about trying yoga. There's quite a bit of the moves I can't do, but there's a lot I can, and over time, this has helped put me on a journey to getting flexibility, and understanding of how yoga can help build a stronger, flexible body. I appreciated this and variability, moderate tempo, clear instructions and possibility to build a program from 4 15 minute workouts. I trust this combination, Sweaty Betty seems like a good quality brand!Music and voice were soothing, not annoying, and book and dvd were enjoyable.I would recommend this for almost everybody interested in softer forms of yoga. It's not a cardio or muscle building exercise or sport in that sense, just yoga, I think. Mind your back, naturally! As it's always said, in case of a back problem, consult your doctor before starting any new gymnastics. I have to repeat that all movements seemed safe and not too extreme and the series were variable and interesting.Anyway, I liked it and found anything negative to say about Gentle yoga. 15 Minute Gentle Yoga: Get Real Results Anytime, Anywhere This is one of the most useful DVDs I own. I've used it countless times and I cannot say enough about how good it is. It has 4 routines for different uses and times of day (morning, afternoon, night and strengthening). It is not too challenging but not too easy.I am surprised at the ability of the author to include a full workout, which has an obvious easier beginning and a final relaxation, in each 15 minutes section. It doesn't feel hurried or squeezed like other workouts in this series. I've used this DVD on stressful times when I couldn't sleep, on times when I could do no other workout (I usually do far intense workouts). The demonstration by both demonstrators (each doing two routines in the DVD) is perfect you can see their form, breathing and concentration. This is obviously the work of both the demonstrators and the production team. The music perfectly fits the routines and the voiceover is clear yet very relaxed.This workout is never boring or too hard to do the 4 routines allow different levels of effort so I can choose to go easy or kick it up a bit. Having said that, this is g e n t l e yoga, so if you expect to breathe through the fire or feel the burn, this is not your DVD. These routines are gentle.
